Marina Pasia
Marina Pasia is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Architecture, University of Cyprus. She is a licensed Architect and Landscape Architect (ETEK), holding a Master’s Diploma in Architectural Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Architecture, Landscape, and Archaeology (EMJMD ALA), with distinction, studied across the University La Sapienza in Rome, the University of Coimbra, the National Technical University of Athens and the University Federico II of Naples. She has been awarded scholarships from the Cyprus State Scholarship Foundation and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
Her academic interests are centred on the inclusive and empathic design of public spaces emphasizing the creation of environments that cater to diverse sociocultural needs and foster community engagement and interaction. Her research focuses on exploring the synergies between spatial analytical design tools and bottom-up approaches including participatory methods and collaborative design practices. She specializes in conducting in-depth analysis and designing contemporary interventions in historical, archaeological, and culturally rich urban contexts and landscapes.
