Between 17th and 20th June 2025, the TWIN2EXPAND team participated in the 32nd International Seminar on Urban Form conference, organised and hosted by our team member Marco Trisciuoglio at Politecnico di Torino.

We presented many of the results from the project, including from capacity-building activities, consultancy projects ensuing from advocacy and stakeholder engagement, and research:

1. Assessing Urban Connectivity and Accessibility Using Open-Source workflows in Data challenging environments, presented by Walid S Abdeldayem.
2. Assessing citizen services provision across urban and rural areas based on accessible density measures, presented by Ilaria Geddes
3. Mapping Governmental Land for Strategic Urban Development: A Data-Driven Approach, presented by Marina Pasia
4. Introducing SOAR: A Scalable, Open, Automated, and Reproducible urban data model for the EU, presented by Gareth Simons
5. Common engagement in evidence-based design and planning, presented by Nadia Charalambous
6. Enhancing Research Capacity in Urban Form. The Strategic Evolution of the SURF Lab (UCY), presented by Martina Crapolicchio

We were also delighted that our team member Meta Berghauser Pont participated in the dialogue/interview “News from the Future. Artificial Intelligence in the Age of Urban Form” with Prof. Barbara Caputo.
